WOW. It feels like it was only yesterday when we welcomed the coming of the year 2013. But it is now the time of the year again when Universities around Australia welcome the new students to their campuses. The same thing is also happening here at UNSW, where Orientation Week (O-Week) is more than just getting to know the campus and making new friends, but also a time to get free things, joining the many clubs on offer, and (for new students) a time to celebrate the fact that they are now studying at Uni!
Want to find out more about what’s happening during O-Week at UNSW? This official site gives you all the information you need to know, from when and where to get free pancakes, fairy floss, snow cones, etc., to activities like campus tour, watching anime, and even playing quidditch!
How to survive your first week at UNSW? Here’s some advice and suggestions on things like getting student card, making friends, and where to find good food and coffee on campus.
If you are a new Indonesian student at UNSW, we wish you all the best with your study here, and hope that you can enjoy your time in Sydney while studying at UNSW. As you start the new episode in your life, we also hope that you will take some time to reflect on life’s big questions, and seek the answers to those questions, while still having fun at the same time.
In order to start reflecting and seeking answers, why don’t you come to GFI’s welcome dinner this Friday?
GFI Welcome Dinner: Level 3, Law Building UNSW, on Friday (1st March 2013) at 6.30 pm.
